Individual supports
Caring for someone with a disability is a unique experience, and finding the right supports and assistance to meet their various needs can be challenging. At Lending Hands Support Services, we provide various services for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Services could be provided at your home or community by our knowledgeable and dedicated staff. Our team is committed to providing individualized supports that meet each person's needs to increase their independence. Some essential skills that our staff will provide could include but not limited to enhancing their independence with activities of daily living, increasing their social skills.
Community Based Supports
At Lending Hands Support Services, we offer
Community-Based Day Services which are designed to assist adults with disabilities to take part in their community and improve their personal skills by providing access to regular meaningful social contact and stimulating activities. Through this programs individuals grow to become more active members of their communities. This service can be provided by our trained direct care staff including family members following the individualized service plan. (ISP)
Respite
Our team will support you family caregivers with a short period of rest or relief by arranging alternate care-giving for the family member with a developmental disability. These services will be provided when the family caregiver is temporarily absent or disabled for any reason.
Lending Hands Support Services offers the following Respite Services:
- Weekend recreational activities
- In-home respite
- Self-directed respite
Behavioral Support
At Lending Hands Support Services, we provide In-home behavior support that help assist individuals.
In-home behavior support services assist families and those caring for individual with disability manage on-going challenging behaviors in the home environment.
An assigned behavior specialist will get to know the family and the individual. Through this interaction the team will develop and create a behavior plan/strategies. Monitoring of behaviors can be done to assist is supporting managing the behaviors. Families are active participants in making sure the plan is being followed consistently, around the clock. Families are given guidance and support they need to make changes at home and to track progress and improvements. Our behaviorist could meet with families at their preferred location.
Transportation Services
Transportations can be provided with Individual Supports and Community Based Support Services. Inquire for more information
